Who We Are

Sleep Well Philadelphia

At Sleep Well Philadelphia, the quality of your sleep is the cornerstone of our organization. We understand that sleep apnea and snoring have immediate and lasting effects that can damage your health and relationships.

That’s why we strive to provide you with the best care by utilizing trusted techniques that we’ve learned throughout decades of experience in addition to employing innovative solutions to help you sleep soundly and awaken refreshed and rejuvenated.

Our Promise

Dr. Slobodinsky tackles even the toughest cases by offering his patients a well-rounded approach that treats the whole person, not just a symptom or diagnosis. Sleep apnea can be the result of several factors and by getting to the root of the problem, we can solve the issue from various angles.

In addition to certain lifestyle modifications, Dr. Sloboinsky recommends an oral appliance that keeps your airway open while you sleep. We believe that the Zyppah® Professional device is the most effective and comfortable appliance for treating sleep apnea and snoring.

Life Without CPAP

Over the years, patients have come to us looking for alternatives to the dreaded CPAP machine. While CPAP has always been the standard of care, most people find it uncomfortable and unwearable. Less than 40% of patients who have CPAP use it and over 90% of our patients wear their oral appliance every night and swear by it.

We’ve had excellent results with patients who hate their CPAP. Once your symptoms have been put to rest, we’ll test you again to make sure you’re on the right track.

A Better Treatment For a Better Night’s Rest

If you’re tired of living with the effects of sleep apnea or the inconvenience of the CPAP machine we have solutions that can help. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Slobodinsky by calling (215) 739-2543 and we’ll put your symptoms to rest so you can get the sleep you need.

Is there a cure for sleep apnea?

The only cure for sleep apnea is to have surgery. However, surgery is invasive and only used in the most severe cases as a last resort. As the first line of defense, we’ll recommend the Zyppah Professional sleep apnea device so you can start to experience the quality sleep you’ve been searching for.

In addition to an oral device, we may suggest lifestyle modifications to tackle the disorder from several angles so you’ll get the most out of your treatment.

How is sleep apnea diagnosed?

Sleep apnea is diagnosed with a sleep study. A sleep study can be performed in the comfort of your own home with an at-home sleep test or in a lab under the supervision of a physician. With the take-home test, you’ll receive the sleep test equipment from your physician and return it to them after you’ve conducted the test.

The equipment will monitor your heart rate and breathing, as well as the oxygen level in your blood. Once your physician diagnoses you with sleep apnea, Dr. Slobodinsky can create a customized treatment plan that suits your needs and begin treatment right away.

Are sleep apnea and snoring the same thing?

Most people who have sleep apnea snore, but not all people who snore have sleep apnea. Loud and frequent snoring is one of the most common and noticeable signs of sleep apnea. If you snore, we highly recommend you undergo a sleep study to determine if, in fact, you have sleep apnea.

Once you’re diagnosed with sleep apnea, we can begin treatment immediately. Whether you have sleep apnea, or simply snore, we’ll assist you with treatment so you and your partner can start enjoying restful nights.

Do insurance companies cover oral appliances?

Most insurance companies do cover a portion of the expenses. We suggest contacting your provider before your appointment to have a better understanding of coverage. If there are any questions we can answer, don’t hesitate to contact our office by calling (215) 739-2543 and we’ll be happy to assist you.
